Occupy Wall Street. enjoy

Occupy Wall Street
The protests that began in Manhattan seem to me to be one of the biggest movements by the people during life time. The protests are by the people to make a stop to bank bailouts, greed and over all power of Wall Street. The protests have gone global and shifted our thought process from thinking of ourselves to thinking as a whole. Only a month has passed from the first of the protests and not only do they protest on Wall Street but banks and other places throughout the country/world.  This united effort has made its way on to many things ranging from Saturday night live all the way to the presidents speeches. All these protests have been none violent and haven’t caused any harm except to the major companies that are exploiting us. The protests of course caught the eye of the police as you would expect but the problem is the police aren’t acting how we’d expect them to. Police officers are placed to protect the people and keep the peace, all well and good but what happens when we need protection from the police? Well during some of the protests police showed some extremely harsh ways with dealing with protestors that was extremely out of line and far beyond said line. Some people were being arrested which is to be expected but beaten during the arrests is different. People with cameras were dealt with harshly such as being thrown into cars and tackled to the curb. There is video proof of these harsh actions taken by the police. One of the most outrages acts was done while a group of girls (standing in the designated area that police blocked off for them to stand at) got pepper sprayed by an officer. The women were showing no aggression or harmful activities. The officer sprayed and walked off as though nothing was wrong with what he chose to do. Why is this ok? This has been brought to light by the media but once again I had to look a little deeper to find most of the worst brutality. So do the police think that this is just actions needed to be taken to stop them from doing nothing harmful? I call bullshit because someone must be giving them free range to stop this. So what kind of man in charge of the police would give this “ok”. Well I believe that the officers are being paid to stop the protests of Wall Street because the greedy little bustards sitting in the offices don’t want bad publicity. Which once again brings about the point of how much power does Wall Street really have. If they have the power to pay people who are supposed to protect us to harm us just so they won’t get a bad rap well then I believe that this has to be looked into. Now of course keep in mind that not all officers are acting this way just some that think they are above the law and restrictions have set for them. Set aside from all this I completely support the 99%. Let the police act however they want it only reinforces the idea of these protests. Too long have we just been feeding these greedy pigs and just accepting the fact of it all. Well stand up and make a difference. They only want the wealth for themselves and will step over all of us to get it. We are the 99% so let’s act like it
